Book Review: The Little French Bistro

Have you ever wanted to escape from the hustle and bustle of your everyday life? Do you long for a simpler, slower-paced lifestyle? If so, The Little French Bistro by Nina George is just the book for you. This charming story follows Marianne, a middle-aged woman who finds herself at a crossroads in her life and decides to take a chance on something new.

Marianne Messman is an introverted, middle-aged woman who has spent most of her life living in traditional ways – she works as an accountant, has been married for years and raises her children as best she can. But when tragedy strikes, Marianne realizes that there must be more to life than this. She sets off on a journey of self-discovery and discovers that with patience and courage she can find happiness.

The other characters in the book are equally compelling – from Jean-Pierre, the Frenchman who captures Marianne’s heart; to Mathilde, the young orphan girl Marianne befriends; to the various locals who live on the small island where much of the story takes place. Each character brings something unique to the table and helps bring the story alive.

The plot follows Marianne’s quest for self-discovery as she embarks on a journey across Europe. Along the way she meets people who help her find peace within herself and discover what makes her happy. As she continues her journey, however, it becomes clear that not everyone is so supportive of her newfound sense of freedom and independence – leading to some interesting twists and turns along the way.

Loving is different from being loved. Giving and seeing how a person flourishes and feeds off your love: the amount of power you possess, and the fact that that power makes someone the best they can be.

Overall, The Little French Bistro is a delightful read that will leave readers feeling inspired and uplifted. It’s an enchanting tale about one woman’s journey towards finding true happiness – something we could all use a little bit more of these days! Whether you are looking for escapist fiction or just want something lighthearted to curl up with on a rainy day, this book will surely satisfy your craving! Highly recommended.
