If you’re looking for a relaxing day trip with a bit of wine-tasting thrown in, then the Firestone Vineyard in Los Olivos, California is the perfect place for you. This small town is located just north of Santa Barbara and is home to some of the best wineries in the area. I recently had the privilege of visiting the Firestone Vineyard, a very short day trip.
The Atmosphere
Firestone Vineyard offers visitors a glimpse into the heart of Central Coast California winemaking. The grounds are stunningly landscaped with rolling hills and lush vegetation. The vineyards themselves are also quite impressive. The tasting room has a cozy feel, with wood floors and stone walls that create an inviting atmosphere.
The Wine
Firestone Vineyard produces several varieties of wines from its own vineyards as well as from other local vineyards in Santa Barbara County. They offer reds, whites, sparkling wines, and dessert wines for guests to sample and purchase by the bottle or glass.
Service
The staff at Firestone Vineyard was very friendly and knowledgeable about their wines. They were happy to answer any questions we had about their products or the winemaking process in general. They also offered us samples of some of their more unique varietals so that we could try them before deciding which ones to buy bottles of. They even offer a tour of their production facility but we were running out of time. Next time I’m going to take the tour.
